The Heights worksheet records athletes’ heights from 2 disciplines, Freestyle Skiing and Artistic Gymnastics. Use the learned statistical analysis techniques with MS Excel to provide answers/interpretations for the following questions.

**a.** What is the probability of having an athlete with a height above 180 cm in Freestyle Skiing? and in Artistic Gymnastics?

**b. **What is the 95% confidence interval of the average heights of Freestyle Skiing?

**c.** Apply hypothesis testing to find out whether one can claim the average height of Artistic Gymnastics athletes is greater than 186 cm with 99% confidence.

**d.** Apply hypothesis testing to find out whether one can claim the Artistic Gymnastics athletes are 8 cm taller on average than the Freestyle Skiing athletes with 95% confidence. Assume the variances of athlete heights from both disciplines are equal.

The ActiveYouth company wants to conduct a promotional campaign to gain sponsorship for young athletes in several countries. They want to get an insight into the athletes so they can choose the right ones to be the image of the campaign. The Resultstable in the Results worksheet of the BUS1001-S2-Ass2.xlsx file records athletes’ results in past events. You are required to analyse the provided data to support the organisation in deciding which countries to target and which athletes to invite in the campaign for the chosen countries. Visualise the result of your analysis in a dashboard, and give recommendations based on insights or findings uncovered from your analysis. (Hint: see Workshop Week 8). Specifically, you are required to:

- Formulate four analytics tasks/questions. For example, “What are the top … that have the highest …?” The question should be clear and come with logical/reasonable arguments to show why you want to ask the questions.

- ** Create pivot tables** and charts to answer the formulated questions. Then, create a dashboard to combine the created charts, telling a story about key patterns/insights that your analysis has discovered. The pivot tables and charts must be correct to answer your questions correctly. The dashboard should be comprehensive and effective to convey your data story. The visualisations should be well-designed and formatted to convey the message/insight. Hint: You should formulate many questions and then choose four to combine to create a good story in a dashboard that can recommend a solution to solve the problem. You should choose appropriate visualisation types to convey your messages (e.g., bar chart, line chart, pie chart, etc.). Remember to apply visualisation best practices.

- Describe the insights shown in your visualisations. The insights should be supported by the visualisations.

- Recommend appropriate actions based on your insights to solve the problem. The recommendations should be aligned with the insights and support the organisation in solving the problem.

*Submission Details*

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TWO FILES:

1) **An EXCEL file includes**: a. The calculations and answers to Question 1 in the Heights worksheet. b. The pivot tables, pivot charts, and the dashboard to answer your formulated questions for Question 2. One worksheet presents the pivot table and chart for each formulated question. Half the mark will be deducted for Question 2 if your submission does not have this part.

2) **A WORD file**: Contains the answer to Question 2, including: a. Four analytics questions: Describe the questions you formulated and the reason why you asked these questions. b. A screenshot of the dashboard to show your story. Must contain 4 visualisations for 4 questions (so 1 visualisation for each analytics question) c. Insight: One paragraph describing insights discovered from the whole dashboard. d. Recommendations: One paragraph outlining recommended actions to solve the problem based on the stated insights
