SALES vs SALES TARGET: The below graph shows the sales of each product compare with forecasts (Target Sales). It can be seen that sales for Tablets are matching the Target sales. Hence, all over, Tablet is performing well in the market, and the forecast prediction for Tablet is correct. The maximum difference between Sales and Sales Target is for product DVD.



PRODUCT SALES (YEARLY): The graph shows us the Product Sales for year 2012 to 2014. Again, the sales for DVD have significantly decreased in the year 2013 and 2014 whereas the sales for Tablet have increased in the same year



SALES VS COMPETITIVE SALES: The next graph is Sales vs Competitive sales. Here, no product apart from Tablets has achieved the level of Competitive sales. Again, for DVDs, both competitive sales and achieved sales is minimum.

SALES IN UNITED STATES: In the above graphs, it was observed that the sales are maximum in United States. Below graph shows the sales in United States and, it can be seen that the country with the maximum number of sales is also not performing well for DVD products. The sales are maximum for Notebooks, Monitors and LCDs. Also, overall, the sales for Tables are good in all the countries but, is not doing very well in United States.


FINAL INSIGHTS: After observing all the visualizations, it can be concluded that:

  • There is a significant decrease in the sales of DVDs across all three years 2012 to 2014. They are not performing well in any Country but United States is still doing better as compared to others. There is a gradual decrease in the sales of DVDs in the year 2013 and 2014.

  • Tablets are in demand in almost all the countries and sales are maximum for them. But, in United States, the product with the highest number of Sales is Notebooks. Tablets are not doing very well in United States but is doing pretty well in other Countries.

  • Sales for almost all the products appear to be consistent from year 2012 to 2013 but a significant increase in sales can be seen in the year 2014.

  • Except DVDs, sales of all the products exceeded the Global competitive sales.

  • No product apart from Tablets has achieved the level of Competitive Sales.

  • United States sales for all the products are higher than all the other countries, except for DVDs. United States is doing great in the market.

  • The sales are maximum for Computers which includes products such as Tablets, Notebooks, Monitors and Desktops and, minimum for Video Players products such as Blu ray and DVD.


Hence, the inventory levels for DVDs players should shift to products such as Tablets, Notebooks, etc. There is a high demand for Tablets, Notebooks and other Computer products, so more focus should be in these products. Big Deals can improve the marketing strategies for products that are struggling comparatively with competitor products and products whose sales are decreasing. More marketing should be done in the countries that are not performing well including United States, for products such as Tablets, Notebooks (as they are high in demand).
